The fastest backup is the one that skips everything it already has. Secureefy Backup combines three techniques to do exactly that.
1. Incremental transfer
After the first backup, only changed files move. In typical workloads that's up to 94% faster and a fraction of the bandwidth.
2. Block-level deduplication
Files are split into variable-size blocks using content-defined chunking (Rabin fingerprinting, ~16 KB average). Identical blocks — across files and across backups — are stored once. Real-world dedup ratios land around 40–70%.
3. Compression
Blocks are compressed (LZFSE on macOS, GZip in the dedup layer) before upload, adding another 30–70% saving on compressible data.
The result: nightly backups that finish quickly, respect metered connections, and cost less to store — without you thinking about any of it.
