Privacy Policy — Secureefy

Secureefy is owned and operated by Havteq Solutions Private Limited ("Company", "we", "our", or "us"), a company incorporated under the laws of India. This Policy governs how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information when you access or use the Secureefy platform, our websites, and our Secureefy Scan and Secureefy Backup products (together, the "Services"). By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy.

1. Information we collect

Account & registration data. When you create an account we collect your name, email address, a hashed password, and organisation details you choose to provide. For paid plans we collect billing information through our payment processors (Razorpay and PayPal); we do not store your full card, UPI, or bank details on our servers.

Scan data (Secureefy Scan). When you run a scan we process the domain(s) you submit and the results generated (security findings, scores, compliance and reputation data). You are responsible for scanning only domains you own or are authorised to test.

Backup data (Secureefy Backup). Files you back up are encrypted on your own device with AES-256-GCM before they are uploaded. Your encryption key is derived locally and never transmitted to us. We store only ciphertext we cannot read, together with operational metadata (device name, backup size, timestamps, schedule) needed to run the service.

Usage & technical data. We automatically collect information such as pages visited, features used, IP address, browser and device type, and log data, using cookies and similar technologies.

2. How we use information

To provide, operate, secure, and maintain the Services and process your transactions.
To authenticate you, manage your account, and provision access to the products you purchase.
To generate scan reports, analytics, and backup status shown in your dashboard.
To send service communications (receipts, security alerts, product and policy updates) and respond to support requests.
To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or unauthorised use, and to comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. We cannot read the contents of your encrypted backups.

3. How we share information

We share information only with vetted service providers who process data on our behalf under contract — including cloud infrastructure, payment processing (Razorpay and PayPal), email delivery, and error monitoring — and where required by law, in a business transfer, or with your consent. Secureefy Scan uses third-party threat-intelligence sources (such as VirusTotal and Google Safe Browsing) to evaluate the domains you submit.

4. Cookies & tracking

We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication and session management, and limited analytics cookies to improve the Services. You can control non-essential cookies through your browser settings.

5. Data security

We apply industry-standard safeguards including encryption in transit (TLS), client-side encryption for backups, hashed passwords, access controls, and audit logging. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work continuously to protect your data.

6. Data retention

We retain account and transaction data for as long as your account is active and as required for legal, tax, and accounting purposes. You may request deletion of your personal data as described below; encrypted backup content is deleted according to your plan's retention settings and on account closure.

7. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction, export, restriction, or erasure of your personal data, and object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, email info@havteq.com with the subject line "Privacy Request", or write to us by post at Havteq Solutions Private Limited, First Floor, Opposite DK Sharma Clinic, Main Bazar, Kalka, Haryana, India – 133302. We may need to verify your identity and aim to respond within 30 days.
